These little guys will need to be heated still for at least 2 winters before they could move into an outdoor pond with appropriate turtle fencing

Ideal Turtle ponds include:

Fencing taller than the turtle is long with out stretched feet, wood or solid fence no gaps with a 10cm topper into the pond/garden area to prevent climb overs and

Pavers either around the inside or outside to prevent dig outs , easierly drained pond to water the surrounding garden.

They love to come out in the garden to sun themselves and toddle around but fencing is very important as they can be escape artists, wire fencing doesn't work as they climb it

If you are in the Auckland Regional Council Area we are not able to supply turtles to you as they are on the not allowed list in your region.

They are allowed in every other region in the country
