One of the charms of the L140 is that it packs all the character of a big Pleco but with a maximum length of 10cm, making it the perfect species for most average aquariums. Additionally, due to its friendly attitude, you can house them with almost any kind of fish that requires the same water parameters.Found in the clearwater Rio Tapajos, Lower Amazon, we can easily replicate the perfect conditions by offering an aquarium with soft silica sand and round smooth river stones. Lots of bogwood or driftwood should also be provided to allow hiding. Plants can be added but are not essential.Feeding the L140 is easy. They will eat most foods without much fuss. As a natural omnivore who enjoys small inverts, the L140 does best when we offer a mixed diet of dried foods (sinking), frozenDaphnia, mosquito larvae and bloodworm. Additionally, live Daphnia can be provided as a treat. On occasion, parboiled veg can give an easy source of nutrients.
